SUEB - HEART FOR INDIA PROJECT
Heart for India (HFI) was founded by PRINCESS FRANCOISE STURDZA in Switzerland. She was moved to give support to Indian Children in Education and Health.
Heart for India Foundation and SUEB have been working in partnership since 2006. The programme provides opportunity for boys and girls to obtain quality education in a healthy and safe school environment. It also focuses on improving the health and nutrition of children attending school. In partnership with SUEB, Heart for India (HFI) has adopted   3  schools   run   by Panchayat Unions for poor children. Needy schools are adopted, HFI believes in long term relationship with the schools, so that during the course of years the students can receive better quality of education and consistently perform well in their studies.

As part of the programme:
  • We provide uniforms and evening snacks for 45 children of the Balwadi Centre at Nanmangalam.
  • Uniforms, Notebooks & shoes and evening snacks for 550 students of Panchayat Union Primary School at Nanmangalam.
  • Evening snacks for 620 Students of Government High School at Nanmangalam.
  • We also give snacks to 550 students of Government Higher Secondary School at Kovilambakkam who are appearing for Government Examination.
In addition, we have provided toilets, Teaching Staff, Play Equipments and Science Kits
In order to develop the full potential of students, we give full support to the Heads and Teachers in all the co-curricular activities they undertake.

This School Enrichment Programme has attracted the poor people of that area. As the result of which, more children have joined the school and the academic performance of the students has improved. This achievement speaks about the positive development in the lives of the school children.
HFI is also supporting SUEB Development Community College. They are giving Scholarships to 25 students for studying one year course in DFGM (Diploma in Fashion Designing and Garment Making) of the TamilNadu Open University, and 45 scholarships     for   studying.

SUEB Certificate Course in Tailoring and Fashion Designing.Free Sewing Machines were also donated to all those who completed the tailoring courses.
